In June 1980, RamAir Products Co., Inc. was created as the local representative and distributor for Farr Company, the premier filter manufacturer in the United States. RamAir has maintained a quality-oriented image in the HVAC industry, in part due to the superior performance of the 30/30 and the Riga-Flo filters, the stalwarts of the Farr Company product lines. In 1998 RamAir Products Co., Inc. recreated itself by separating into divisions of responsibility and changed its name to RamAir, Inc.
In May 2000, RamAir’s filtration offerings increased when Farr Company was acquired by the Camfil Group out of Sweden, the largest manufacturer of air filtration products in Europe. Today the Camfil Farr product line continues to stand tallest against all competitive manufacturers of filter and filter related hardware.
In October 2004 Camfil Farr rewarded RamAir, Inc. with the Kansas City market. After purchasing the aftermarket filter business from Jorban-Riscoe, a office warehouse of 5,000 sq ft with an inventory of $100,000 was established in Lenexa, Kansas with full operations started in January 2005.
RamAir began offering just-in-time (24 hour) delivery in 1985 with its large selection of inventoried HVAC filter products. The inventory value today in the Fenton (St. Louis) location is in excess of $300,000 and growing as we continue to strive to satisfy our customers’ every filtration need. The Environmental Products Division, RamAir’s capital equipment sales group, works closely with consulting and in-plant engineers, architects, contractors, and building owners in areas of filtration, ventilation in plant offices and kitchen exhaust (odor & grease removal) systems. Environmental Products is committed to achieving the highest level of customer satisfaction by supplying products built to superior standards, keeping the projects on track with up-to-date shipping schedules and maintaining quality technical support before, during, and after the installation process.
The High Purity Products Division continues its rapid growth with its nationwide hospital sales of replacement sterilizer filters for Steris and Custom Ultrasonics. In addition, it supplies replacement filters for Millipore lab water systems. Additional liquid filtration products are offered to satisfy our growing customer base and their ongoing needs.
The RamAir Products Division concentrates its replacement filter sales efforts on providing healthcare, industrial, cleanroom and commercial customers with a one-stop shop for all of their air, gas, liquid and hydraulic filtration needs.
The RamAir Services Division handles the filter change-outs and the Filter Monitoring Surveys for hospitals, industrials and commercial customers. This division is also responsible for the assembly of all special size pleated filters.
